Taiwan Expo is back this year with a big bang!

By Gaylen KaSai - Monday, November 23, 2020

I still remember attending the Taiwan Expo 2019 in Penang for the very first time. I was impressed with all the exhibitors and I was looking forward to the 2020 Expo too, however in view of the current pandemic that has hit the world I guess there’s not going to be any physical Expo.  Thankfully, with the advancement of Technology today we are able to attend the Taiwan Expo 2020 Virtually.

This will be TAIWAN EXPO in MALAYSIA 2020 for the fourth consecutive year and its definitely a special one because they are going Virtual from November 25th to 27th! With virtual reality exhibition, informative online seminars, and exclusive one-on-one e-business matching sessions with 200 Taiwanese exhibitors, Taiwan and Malaysia can jointly explore endless business opportunities!

The organizer, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), stated that this year’s Taiwan Expo will exhibit 7 major pillars, including Taiwan Food, Taiwan Lifestyles, Health Care & Beauty, Gadgets & Green Tech, Industry 4.0, Tourism and Halal Taiwan. Additionally, there’ll be 13 themed pavilions.

Taiwan has done a great job to curb the outbreak of the pandemic in their country and has gotten praises worldwide. In view of that TAITRA has integrated more than 2,000 Taiwanese epidemic prevention businesses and 20 medical institutions to create an online “Taiwan Global Anti-Covid-19 Pavilion”. In addition to exploring the key to successful epidemic prevention in Taiwan, participating companies are more than happy to share their experiences and I personally feel that this is great because we will be able to learn from them.

The virtual Taiwan Expo will use iStaging’s virtual reality technology, allowing visitors to enjoy the sensory experiences of attending an on-site event and view the products in a 360-degree angle. Great news for Buyers who sign up for any one-on-one online trade meeting will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive lucky draw contest! For each online trade meeting you attend, you’ll be given one entry after filling out the questionnaire. If you attend 10 trade meetings, then you will have 10 entries. Connect with more Taiwanese exhibitors for a greater chance to win the grand prize! Throughout the three days virtual event, potential buyers can also use the “chat now” function to make an appointment or to purchase the product immediately.

Online activities such as five webinars will be conducted, respectively about smart medical, green products, Taiwan halal products, and more. The annual Taiwan Excellence Awards Ceremony will also be broadcasted live in Malaysia in the morning of the second day of the exhibition (November 26). Malaysian buyers are cordially invited to have a first-hand look of the newly awarded products.

This is your chance to bring Taiwanese product to Malaysia because all of the Taiwanese exhibitors would like to take this opportunity to find a suitable partner in Malaysia! To provide a glimpse of this year’s Taiwan Expo, some of the highlighted products:

Innovative green energy from Sun Rise E&T Corporation’s Solar Floating System that provides high efficiency of power generation with the intelligent use of space to construct solar farms on water surfaces.

Taiwan Excellence Pavilion will showcase some medical treatment combining technology, such as MERITS Health Products’ Multi-Rehab Function Power Wheelchair, Asiatic Fiber’s Wearable E-Massage Textile and other smart life medical products.

The Health Care Pavilion will also bring together many well-known hospitals to share their latest medical equipment and services, such as Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou, National Cheng Kung University Hospital, Taipei Medical University, Tzu Chi Hospital and more.

Changhua Hardware Pavilion’s automatic sensor faucet with soap dispenser 2-in-1 function will also be present, featuring no touch technology that can prevent the breeding of bacteria.

Halal products, 19 halal products will be exhibited this time, including halal certified snacks, raw materials and condiments. Among them, Hi Duo Bio-Tech Business’ Tapioca Milk Tea Raw Material Service Manufacturing provides various materials for supply chain factory.

In hopes to take this opportunity to find a suitable collaboration partner in Malaysia, the “Taiwan Halal Product Launch” will be held on the first day of the exhibition (November 25th) to further provide Malaysian industry players a better understanding of Taiwanese halal products.
